When the Spinks brothers won Gold Medals for the U.S. Team in 1976, I was 11. I was there for their STL parade down Market Street. And in 2003 with my elbows on a ring mat for my first boxing assignment, the very palpable tension of color, personality, pageantry and hope stunned me. I wanted more.
